Shadow Dance, an Innovative, Inclusive Dance Company presents a celebration of the best Community Performing Arts on Wirral at the Floral Pavilion in New Brighton on Tuesday 29 April, 2025.
This show will have you dancing in your seats, singing from the rooftops and leave you beaming from ear to ear!
The show includes performances from children and young people from different schools and communities, and also performances from the incredible ‘Over the Water’ Choirs.

An open workshop for people who have an interest in learning some of the basics of ballet led by a member of The British Black Ballet project.
This is an opportunity to take part in an open level class where you will have some basic dance experience but not essential. One for those who have always wanted to give dance a chance.

A talk through the rich history of Black dancers in British ballet from the 40s to the present day.
This talk can be tailored for schools and adult audiences and is followed by a Q&A session.
Morris dancing is the name given to the traditional dances of England, covering many types of dance. Join Mersey Morris at 12.30pm as they perform several of these dances accompanied by live music played by a multi-talented band of musicians.
After the performance there will be the chance to have a go yourself. You can join Mersey Morris for a free hour-long workshop starting at 2pm. Meet the team and learn a dance.
There has been a Morris dance side in Liverpool for almost 100 years, when the Liverpool Morris Men were founded. Mersey Morris is the proud inheritor of this tradition and has been in existence since 1962, when the Liverpool men joined with the Wirral Morris Men. Two years ago they adopted open membership and now welcome all into their number.
Morris dance is a great source of fun and fitness. Mersey Morris are always looking to welcome new talent to the team. Please speak to one of the team if you are interested in joining.
The Greatest Robot Ever is a brand new, rhyming story presented by KnottedHawk Productions. This interactive dance theatre show is perfect for children 3-8 years and their grown ups.
Glitch the little robot doesn’t feel special like all the other amazing robots living in the junkyard. With the help of their best friend, Shift, they go on a quest to find the pieces to make them stand out!
Full of fun, adventure and self discovery; will Glitch find what they were searching for all along? Using projection, dance and storytelling, children interact with the performers throughout the show and take part in an engaging workshop exploring resilience, friendship and wellbeing.

Fun Ukrainian dance workshop will give you and your family and amazing opportunity to find out more about Ukrainian social and folk dance.
They will travel all across Ukrainian regions to learn different techniques and moves.
Please Note you only need to book places for children. If you are an accompanying parent or guardian there is no need to book.
Join Sole Rebel for a fun accessible dance taster workshop where you’ll learn basic foot percussive steps and some body percussion.
Whether you’re a complete beginner or a tap whizz, you’re guaranteed a toe tapping good time! If you haven’t got tap shoes, no problem Sole Rebel will have tap shoes for all ages to borrow.

Stronger Together is a project to bring women together to dance, gain confidence, build community and share an artistic experience.
The project will be running every Thursday 11am – 12.30pm at 24 Hope street, L1 9BX and is FREE to attend.
No previous dance experience needed!
We also support travel expenses for up to 10 participants per session for those who need it.
