Head of Development – The Reader, closes 4 Mar

As a key member of the leadership team at The Reader, this role is responsible for securing the income and building the partnerships that The Reader needs to sustain and grow its work.

This role leads the Development Team to achieve their challenging income targets across a diverse income portfolio of grants, commissions, individual, corporate and event fundraising.

They are looking for a strategic thinker who is a well-organised, target-driven leader, who can demonstrate income generation experience and great communication skills.  Whether you bring experience from fundraising, public sector commissioning or commercial sales, they’re looking for someone who can spot, shape and secure new opportunities with a range of supporters across a range of sectors.

As Head of Development, you’ll need to be a great relationship builder with both internal and external stakeholders, and you’ll also be a translator – able to shape up funding propositions from other people’s ideas, developing compelling narratives to secure support for them.

Town Hall Manager – Liverpool City Council, closes 25 Feb

Liverpool Town Hall is a stunning grade 1 listed building in the heart of the City, joining St. George’s Hall and Croxteth County Park to form ‘Liverpool City Halls’.

You will be the Manager of their Town Hall, strategically and tactically directing all activities that take place, making this venue a shining example of commercial and operational excellence, underpinning the City Plan.

You will have overall accountability for the Town Hall operational delivery, customer experience and commercial performance, ensuring the operation is aligned to a new centralised approach to delivery. You will ensure that the civic programme and commercial operations are effectively aligned.

Role and Responsibilities

MAIN AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

You will lead and inspire the civic and venue operations team to deliver exceptional service and commercial results across a broad portfolio of events and activities in our City owned Town Hall.

You will also ensure the operations are aligned with our other city Halls to ensure a centralised and standardised approach to delivery.

Management

  • You will ensure compliance with all Health & Safety requirements applicable to the workplace and commercial activity taking place

Skills and Experience

Qualifications and Training

  1. Professional qualification or extensive experience in a relevant field such as Venue / Operations / hospitality / project management*

Experience

Project Coordinator – Brand New World schools programme, 2021-22, closes 7 Mar

This role is for a practitioner with long-term experience of coordinating arts and cultural projects and programmes with schools.

The person will need to be available for 15 days between Monday 21st and Friday 30th September 2022 to support six schools through the final phase of their Brand New World visual arts education programme. The role is to:

  • Keep in touch with teachers, artists and two practitioners (an Artistic Lead and Arts Award Adviser) to monitor progress.
  • Support everyone to keep on track with: creating artworks for an exhibition at the International Slavery Museum in June/July 2022; preparing for the Arts Award moderation (date to be confirmed); providing evaluation evidence.
  • Monitor and track spending against budget and forward invoices to LLP Adminstrator.
  • Liaise with National Museums Liverpool to organise an exhibition and launch of the artworks.
  • Write a short evaluation/spending report at the end of the project.

The fee is £3750 @ £250 per day and hours can be completed flexibly to suit the needs & availability of the successful applicant and project partners.

Under the direction of the Operations Manager, take operational responsibility for the front of house, ensuring a consistently safe, efficient and high standard of service to audiences, visitors and staff.

Content Marketing Executive – Wild in Art, closes 25 Feb

Working within the Marketing and Communications Team, you’ll be supporting the team with the creation of content that keeps our audiences informed and engaged. You’ll have a passion for story-telling and creating engaging content that showcases the world of Wild in Art.

You’ll plan and manage our content calendar and will be responsible for our social media channels. You’ll also provide content and digital support for other digital channels including Wild in Art websites, newsletters, event apps and the online auction platform as required.

You’ll be part of a busy team, so the ability to work as a team player as well as autonomously is essential. You’ll also be working with our event partners, so you’ll be a personable and articulate communicator, not afraid to find out the information you need.
