Service Desk Analyst – Arts Council England (North West hybrid), closes 9 Feb ’26

Arts Council England are seeking a Service Desk Analyst, the role is North West hybrid working.

You will be accountable for providing a responsive and customer-focussed IT support service to staff across the organisation. You will take ownership of issues and ensure that Arts Council staff are kept informed of progress and that calls are resolved and closed within service level targets.

You will work with users to ensure expectations are correctly set and provide guidance to users how to best use the IT hardware, software and services provided.

You will adhere to IT Service Desk policies and procedures, ensure that calls are logged correctly within the IT Service Desk system and work with other teams within the IT department to provide an integrated service to end users.

You will attempt to resolve incidents and respond to requests, only assigning calls to other teams where this is not possible or call volume does not allow. You will assess the severity and priority of an incident and respond accordingly, escalating to the IT Manager, Service Support as necessary.

You will ensure that starters, leavers and other organisational changes are reflected accurately in system directories and group memberships.  You will ensure that the appropriate authorisations have been obtained before making any changes to staff details or their access privileges.

You will have a good understanding of all the services provided by the IT team and advise Arts Council staff on how to get the maximum benefit from those services, providing individual tuition where appropriate.

You will monitor how the service is being received and look for opportunities to improve, advising the IT Manager, Service Support accordingly.

You will work with external resources and service providers as necessary to manage incidents to a satisfactory resolution.

You will be courteous at all times and communicate to people in terms they understand, avoiding the use of technical jargon.

You will be required to travel to other Arts Council locations across England.

Reporting to the Head of Estates, you will play a key leadership role in safeguarding the health, safety and wellbeing of all building users across National Museums Liverpool’s estate. The Lead Technician is a full-time position within FACT’s Exhibitions and Programme teams, responsible for meeting the technical needs of FACT’s artistic programme. The role oversees a part-time technician and freelance exhibition technicians and leads the technical design, planning, and delivery of FACT’s artistic programme, including exhibitions, creative and artistic projects, learning programmes, and events.

This role is ideal for someone with a strong interest in contemporary art and artistic processes, and a desire to explore how new technologies can shape experimental and extraordinary experiences. The Lead Technician will play a key role in advancing FACT’s use of technology, ensuring the organisation remains at the forefront of new developments through research, experimentation, and engagement with emerging initiatives.

The role also includes responsibility for the organisation, maintenance, and upkeep of FACT’s technical equipment, as well as supporting wider organisational activities by undertaking duties led by other departments as required. In addition, the Lead Technician will collaborate closely with the Buildings and Operations teams to ensure that FACT’s artistic programme aligns with organisational health and safety requirements and existing infrastructure, and will provide technical consultation on capital projects where these support artistic outcomes.

Liverpool’s Royal Court (LRC) is seeking an experienced and strategic Head of Finance to join its Executive Leadership Team at an exciting time for the organisation.

Reporting to the Chief Executive, this role provides financial and operational leadership across the four companies that make up LRC. Working closely with the Executive team, Heads of Department and the Board of Trustees, you will ensure robust financial management, strong governance and effective systems that support the organisation’s artistic and commercial ambitions.

You will lead on financial strategy, budgeting, forecasting and reporting, oversee cash flow and statutory compliance, and provide clear, timely insight to support decision-making. The role also has oversight of HR, risk, insurance and organisational policies, as well as contributing to business planning for growth and capital projects.

They are looking for a senior finance professional with strong leadership skills, excellent financial and analytical capability, and experience of operating at executive level in a complex organisation. Experience in the arts, charity or not-for-profit sector would be an advantage, but is not essential.

This role is based at Liverpool’s Royal Court Theatre. Some evening working will be required to fully engage with the organisation’s operations.

The North West team have an opportunity for an experienced Data Analyst to join Arts Council England.  Working as part of a small team you will support the delivery of Arts Council’s day-to-day data analysis needs.

This is a specialist role that plays a key part in how they deliver timely, accurate analysis across the organisation.

What you’ll be doing

  • Supporting the day-to-day running of the Data Analysis function at Arts Council England

The Project

Humans of Wigan is an ambitious documentary photography project celebrating the diverse faces and stories of Wigan Borough. Inspired by Daniel Meadows’ Free Photographic Omnibus and Humans of New York, we will create a mobile photography studio that travels across the borough, offering free professional portraits and capturing personal narratives. The project will culminate in a public outdoor exhibition and contribute to updating local photographic and oral history archives.

Merchandising Assistant – National Museums Liverpool, closes 21 Jan ’26

National Museums Liverpool currently have the post of Merchandising Assistant available.

The Merchandising team plays a vital role in ensuring retail products are available in the right place, at the right time, and in the correct quantities. Working closely with Retail Managers, the team forecasts trends, plans stock levels, and monitors performance to keep their retail operations running smoothly.

As part of the Retail division, the team directly impacts profitability through effective product selection, pricing strategies to maximise profit, and stock management. Their responsibilities include overseeing deliveries and distribution, liaising with suppliers, managing the EPOS system and purchasing budget, and collaborating with operational teams to plan promotions and markdowns.

Reporting to the Merchandising Team Leader and Merchandising Manager, the Merchandising Assistant will support efforts to maximise sales across Commercial Enterprises’ retail outlets and online shop. In this role, you’ll provide excellent customer service, manage incoming deliveries, and assist with the day-to-day running of the online store.

This role is part-time, 35 hours per week, Monday – Friday.
