You’ll be working in a small, fast-paced team that needs to be flexible to opportunities as they arise. This role will work across income streams, developing funding bids, cultivating and stewarding funders and partners and actively supporting the work of the Development Managers.

The Liverpool Empire Theatre has an exciting opportunity for an experienced and motivated individual to join us as a Senior Technician for Lighting. This role is an integral part of the technical team within this busy regional venue.

You will fully support the Head of Lighting and Sound in all aspects of lighting and sound, you will also work with the Technical team to drive forward the highest standards of technical support to visiting companies and in house projects. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate skills in Lighting including rigging, focusing, lighting design work, operation of lighting desks and have prior experience in large scale touring or venues.

The successful candidate must be an excellent team player with great communication skills and the ability to lead and motivate a large casual team as well as an ability to assist on stage when and if required. You will also have a good working knowledge of current health & safety legislation as well as working at height. As Communications Officer, you will work closely with the Music Education team and Advocacy & Communication colleagues to produce and develop communication plans that support our music education and national communication strategies. You might have specialist communication experience, but you will also have rounded knowledge of all elements of communication to make a success of this role.

  • developing, delivering and evaluating creative communications projects
  • writing and editing engaging copy for a range of channels and audiences
  • working with internal and external stakeholders to find and communicate impactful and inspiring stories
  • using technical skills to manage the content of our digital channels, including our website and social media
  • commissioning external suppliers to produce high-quality digital and print materials on time and to budget

You’ll bring to the role excellent written and verbal communication skills, a good understanding of traditional and emerging media, and the ability to develop and maintain excellent relationships with a range of stakeholders. You will also need:

Film Hub North (FHN) supports film culture in the North of England through a combination of funding, training, advocacy and community-building. The Marketing and Communications Lead will be responsible for delivering all of Film Hub North’s communications in an engaging, accessible and inclusive way, promoting the Hub’s work to a variety of audiences in the film industry and beyond. The Marketing and Communications Lead will champion and develop the Hub’s identity as a force for positive change within the North’s screen sectors.

Applicants should have excellent writing skills and experience of writing for a range of audiences in and engaging and accessible way.

The Communication Lead is the Hub’s sole marketing and communication specialist, and should therefore be skilled across the suite of marketing channels as well as have the confidence to lead on communications strategies.
