Crewe Lyceum Theatre are seeking a freelance Youth Theatre Assistant for our weekly Mini Company. You will be working with ages 8-10 on a Saturday morning 10am-12, supporting the Youth Theatre Leader to deliver creative and engaging workshops, covering a range of skills.

RATE OF PAY – £12-20 per hour, depending on experience 2-3 hours a week

NI & TAX – The successful applicant must be registered as self-employed and is fully responsible for paying all relevant contributions to HMRC

Workforce Development Manager – The National Lottery Heritage Fund, closes 11 Dec

As part of its People Strategy the Heritage Fund is committed to continuing to invest in workforce development, to ensure everyone working in the Heritage Fund has the necessary skills, Values and behaviours to deliver the services our customers and stakeholders need.

We are currently seeking to recruit an experienced Workforce Development Manager on a full time, permanent contract based in our Leeds or Manchester Office (Hybrid Working). Role modelling our Values, you will lead our Workforce Development Team and work closely with senior Directors across the Heritage Fund to design and deliver programmes, initiatives and events to drive forward our People Strategy and enhance organisational performance.

You will be a key member of the HR senior team, supporting the Director of HR and their team in driving organisational change and effectiveness. The role will require close partnership working with colleagues in HR leading the development of new systems, processes and policies, ensuring that opportunities for driving forward our Values, behaviours and commitments to workforce diversity are maximised. Collaboration outside HR will also be key, and partnerships will need to be developed with colleagues leading on overlapping business improvement activities focussing on supporting customers, stakeholders and business processes.

The Director of Communications and Digital will lead the Hall Concert Society’s marketing, digital and communications strategies. This key position also has responsibility for branding, advocacy, PR, and increasing the volume of ticket sales at The Bridgewater Hall to achieve related income targets and diversify the Hall ‘s audience.

The post is full-time permanent based on a 36.25-hour week. Our core office hours are 09.00-17:15, from Monday to Friday, with the option to work 50% of hours from home.

Freelance Marketing and Communications Specialist – Light Up The North, closes 15 Dec

Light Up The North is a network of light festivals which have come together to share their collective expertise and to learn together. We work together to support artists, to commission new artworks, to carry out research and as a strategic consortium which supports the development of the light art sector.

We wish to appoint a freelance Marketing & Communications specialist to work with us to raise the profile of the network, extending its reach and showcasing our work, both as a network and through the network members’ festivals.

The Marketing & Communications Manager should have the skills and experience to enable them to fulfil the role, including copywriting, web and social media proficiency, some awareness of press, an ability to analyse data and make reports. They should understand Comms strategies and have the ability to develop the LUTN Comms strategy, reviewing developments and successes and setting targets.

They should be an excellent and strategic communicator, able to work within a complex environment, engaging with network partners.

The role requires a highly organised person who is excited about the chance to champion light festivals and engage artists, participants and partners, as well as audiences, with striking, innovative and creative communications.

The role provides the opportunity to visit light festivals and other related events.

Freelance Strategic Lead – Light Up The North, closes 15 Dec

The Strategic Lead will focus on delivering specific strands of our programme of work set out in our recently successful National Arts Lottery Project application with support from key Sub-Groups made up of the full partners in the network (these cover Communications and Marketing; Co-commissioning; CPD and talent development and environmental sustainability).

The Strategic Lead will also work closely with our Communications and Marketing Freelancer and have dedicated administration support.

The Strategic Lead will support the network to help light art festivals in the north deliver higher quality programmes, create new strategic partnerships in HE, be a fulcrum for more ambitious touring commissions and increase the number and ability of more diverse northern artists creating outstanding work at a national and international level.

The Strategic Lead will help LUTN to become a robust, resilient sector-led network and will lead on a strategic review for organisational development beyond 2025.

• evaluating and quality assuring the LCEPs projects and ongoing work of its practitioners and partner organisations

• challenging and supporting schools create a broad and balanced curriculum offer for their pupils within your artistic specialism and commissioning similar work for other cultural curricular areas.
