The Easy Rollers

Virtuosic septet channeling the spirit of 1920s-’30s Harlem, Kansas City and New Orleans jazz

Delighting audiences with their enormous repertoire of own songwriting and arrangements, The Easy Rollers are a septet who embody the famed spirit and consummate virtuosity of today’s booming British jazz scene and bring it straight back to the music’s roots: 1920s and ’30s Harlem, Kansas City and New Orleans. Released in 2025, their critically acclaimed album ‘… And Another Thing’ – spun on BBC Radio 3 and praised internationally for its “craft, strong ensemble work, and a clear passion” (Jazz In Europe)  – was launched in London at a sold-out PizzaExpress Live. In 2026, The Easy Rollers celebrate their 10th anniversary, embarking on their most high-profile UK tour yet.

Fronted by the captivating Dani Sicari, whose time-machine of a voice is evocative of early greats like Helen Kane and Ruth Etting, The Easy Rollers have long established a reputation for delivering performances that channel the in-the-moment dynamism of the Jazz Age at the height of its cultural grandeur. Arising from their love of the tradition, they take pride in marrying a conscientious approach to authenticity with their mission of ensuring that this effervescent era of jazz is never presented merely as a nostalgic museum piece.

The band cut their teeth performing stages including Manchester Jazz Festival, Cheltenham Jazz Festival, Lake District Summer Music Festival, Buxton International Festival, Brecon Jazz Festival, Marsden Jazz Festival, and the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in the band’s formative years. The Easy Rollers’ latest UK tour encompassed RNCM Concert Hall, Liverpool Philharmonic Music Room, Cedars Hall, Clonter Theatre, and jazz clubs Peggy’s Skylight and Toulouse Lautrec.

Julian Taylor plus very special guest Michele Stodart

JUNO and Polaris Prize-nominated Canadian singer-songwriter Julian Taylor returns with a special run of shows, celebrating his acclaimed blend of soulful Americana, folk rock and alt-country.

Taylor’s profoundly moving songs, exploring themes of mixed heritage, commitment and the human condition, have earned him global praise. He brings an explosive and captivating live show, with his phenomenal, all-female band – Michele Stodart (bass, vocals), Raevennen Husbandes (guitar, vocals) and Siân Monaghan (drums) – providing the organic, rhythmic groove that drives Julian’s signature sound.

As an added treat, Michele Stodart (best known as the bassist and co-songwriter of The Magic Numbers) will perform an opening solo set of her own acclaimed material before joining Julian for the headline performance.

This double-bill offers a rare opportunity to see two masterful artists and an incredible rhythm section in one unforgettable night.

John Jones (Oysterband)

John Jones is best known as the powerful and charismatic singer with Oysterband, veterans of the folk and roots scene since the 1980s. They started as The Whitstable Oyster Company Ceilidh Band, one of the best ceilidh bands in the business, which then evolved into the folk/punk/rock group Oysterband, releasing over 20 albums and playing every major festival in the UK, Europe and Canada. They recorded and toured with some of the UK’s most revered folk artists, including acclaimed tours and two award-winning albums with singer June Tabor.

John’s solo work developed alongside his Oysterband duties. In 2009, he released his first solo album, Rising Road, and began walking between gigs with musicians and fans in a group he called The Reluctant Ramblers. In ten years, the Reluctant Ramblers walked over 1000 miles between shows and John released his second album, Never Stop Moving, in 2015.

Now, with Oysterband saying farewell to their armies of faithful fans across the UK and Europe with their hugely successful The Long Goodbye tour, John is about to embark on his next chapter, enlisting the help of his two long-standing friends and fellow musicians: Ray Cooper a.k.a. Chopper and Al Scott. Ray joined Oysterband in 1990 and brought in the cello sound alongside his bass and backing vocals before leaving in 2013 to go solo. Al has been associated with Oysterband for over 30 years as producer and stand-in guitarist. Al joined the band in 2013.

Between them, the trio play a variety of instruments and will be performing a range of songs and tunes from over the years, from each of their back catalogues, alongside new songs and traditional numbers.

The Song Goes On Tour launches across the UK in Spring 2026, with further dates planned at summer festivals and in winter 2026, and with European shows in the pipeline as well. So whilst one chapter may be coming to an end, another is just beginning: The Song Goes On!
