What The World Needs Now: A Tribute to...

It was a sad day in February 2023 when the world heard that Burt Bacharach had died. Tonight’s tribute includes many of his most famous songs, including ‘Raindrops Keep Falling On My Head’, ‘What The World Needs Now’, ‘Do You Know The Way to San Jose’, ‘Walk on By’, ‘Close to You’… he wrote the kind of tunes that you know without even realising it.

They’re the soundtrack to an era – the easiest of easy listening, with an irresistible swing. Tonight, in the stunning surroundings of the Hall, the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra and an all-star cast of vocalists give them the deluxe treatment.

Shed Seven: Album launch show

Shed Seven head to Liverpool in celebration of their new album ‘A Matter Of Time’.

The legendary Britpop band return to Liverpool, playing their classics, such as Chasing Rainbows and Going for Gold, alongside tracks off the new album.

Formed in Liverpool in 1974, art-rock and new wave band, Deaf School are back to celebrate their 50th anniversary.

Red Rum Club are a unique band from Liverpool, mixing contemporary and vintage sounds of old. They channel wild Spaghetti Western vibes with their trumpet player Joe ‘The Blow’.

The band provide a modern slant to their poetic yet catchy lyrics and songs that fuse to make the unmistakeable sound of Red Rum Club.

OMD

Synthpop pioneers Orchestral Manoeuvres In The Dark (OMD) return to the stage in 2024.

The Wirral band take to the road and head to the M&S Bank Arena, Liverpool, on 3 March. The tour is to promote their excellent new album, Bauhaus Staircase.

Echo and the Bunnymen

The legendary Echo and the Bunnymen return to their hometown with two shows at the Liverpool Empire.

The band are touring a ‘best of’ set – Songs to Learn and Sing 2024. The show is sure to include many classic singles, such as Never Stop, Lips Like Sugar and of course, the magnificent The Killing Moon.
