Wirral Pop Orchestra & Wirral Big Band Presents: A CHRISTMAS CONCERT
Join us at the gallery for a delightful afternoon of music from two fabulous local bands.
Wirral Big Band and Wirral Pop Orchestra were both started in 2019 by Jan Modelski, an accomplished musician who is passionate about community music, bringing local musicians together.
Wirral Pop Orchestra strays away from the conventional classical classical repertoire exploring the world of Pop, theatre, films and musicals. Wirral Big Band play all things jazz, swing and pop in a Big Band style.
Both bands have enjoyed many successful gigs at a variety of local venues, and we’re delighted to welcome them back to the Williamson for a fabulous festive performance.
The Williamson Café will be open where you can perchance a ‘Festive Mini Afternoon Tea’ and other refreshments.
We’re welcoming the ever-popular Annie Long Trio back to the Williamson for another performance.
‘Step into Spring’ as we welcome sultry Wirral jazz Singer Annie Long together with her talented and versatile musicians.
They will be performing a stylish set of swing, blues, bossas and ballads.
The Café will be open for drinks and light bites.

Catrin Finch performs Notes to Self, a series of reflective and deeply personal new tracks she has composed for Katy, her 13-year-old self, and her first album of solo compositions in a decade.
With accompanying letters underscoring the profound stories of her personal journey, Notes to Self weaves together Catrin’s experiences, emotions and introspections. Through her music, she explores themes of vulnerability, expectation, transformation and the unpredictability of a life played out under the public eye. Each composition draws from her past; a 40-year career as one of her generation’s most adventurous and pioneering artists. Her enduring honesty and bravery resonate, inviting listeners to connect deeply with her story, as she translates her struggles and triumphs into sound. Notes to Self not only showcases Catrin’s evolution as a musician, but charts a remarkable career shaped by her experiences as a gay woman, a cancer survivor, a sister, daughter and mother.
Notes to Self is a step into a new creative dimension for this extraordinary harpist, whose career takes new turns with each new project.
