Ring Carving Workshop:
Learn the essentials of traditional jewellery wax carving and create a one-of-a-kind ring for yourself or a loved one. Ring carving is a slow and mindful process. In this carving workshop we will work on one piece for the duration, slowly removing small pieces of wax to reach our finished form. The hard jewellers wax can be used to carve and shape intricate designs, working with hand tools such as scalpels and files.

This workshop is led by founder of Dripped goods, Amy Flynn. Amy has a BA in Jewellery Design from London College of Fashion and has over 10 years experience in the jewellery field. She designed the medals for the World Gymnastic Championships in 2022 and has been nominated for Liverpool City Region Artist of the year. She has showcased work in the Bluecoat Display Centre and the Manchester Contemporary and has led multiple workshops at venues including TATE Liverpool.
NEW! Ring Sculpting Workshop:
Explore Dripped Goods signature technique which involves creating organic jewellery with soft wax and create a one-of-a-kind ring for yourself or a loved one. In the sculpting workshop we can create several designs as the wax is re-usable, select a favourite to be cast at the end. This material can be used to produce free-form jewellery, it behaves similarly to a hard clay and can be rolled, bent, twisted or shaped in endless ways.

Some actors still think improv means being fast thinking and clever; breaking the rules and doing the unexpected. Not necessarily; in fact, not often. ‘Take the boring choice’ is a powerful mantra.
Improv is the foundation of any performer’s training – the ability to be alive in the moment, to fully listen and engage with your scene partner/s, and to start understanding story (and a character’s journey) from the inside out. Take away words, take away haste, and what are you left with?
This session is an introduction to the discipline of improv, designed to demystify and simplify in a relaxed and fun environment.
During this one day course you will learn the basics of screen printing, including learning about the materials used and processes involved in creating a UV exposed screen.
After preparing and exposing your own screen, you’ll get time to draw your own image to print, or you can bring a suitable image with you. You’ll finish the workshop by using our screen-beds to ink and print your 2 colour designs onto paper in a small edition that you can take home with you.
All materials you will use are included in the cost of the course, but you are welcome to bring along your own if you choose.
Our studios are environmentally friendly where possible and use greener methods of screen printing, such as water-based acrylic inks. Completing this course will act as an Induction. After becoming a Bluecoat Artist Member you will be able to book into our Screen Printing Studio should you wish to.
(Attendees must be 18+)

‘Linocut printing involves cutting away from a block of linoleum, and inking and printing the uncut areas. When you place your carved, inked up block face down on a sheet of paper, the printed image will appear as a mirror image to how you have carved your block. Areas you have cut away will remain the white of the paper you print on.’
On this course for beginners you will be guided through every step of the process from start to finish, leaving with confidence in linocut printing and having created a finished edition of prints to take home with you. You will learn how to transfer an image onto your lino, carve your lino blocks and create a small edition of 2-colour prints. You will also gain insight on the materials and tools used, and how you can continue the process as home.
All materials you will use are included in the cost of the course, but you are welcome to bring along your own if you choose. Our studios are environmentally friendly where possible and use greener methods of screen printing, such as water-based acrylic inks. Completing this course will act as an Induction to book into our Intaglio Studio should you wish to.
