PLACED are excited to be recruiting for a full time Project Officer to join their lovely, growing team. The successful candidate will join them in diversifying the voices involved in shaping the built environment.

Come and join them in developing and delivering engagement and education work, especially within the PLACED Academy programme. The PLACED Academy is a flagship education programme, established in 2019 as a free to access experience for young people in the built environment. The 2022-23 programme is nearing completion and they’re beginning to develop their 2023-24 programme as well as developing their Alumni offer for previous graduates.

This role includes taking ownership, leading and planning the programme with support from the wider team, as well as looking for opportunities to increase the programme impact. This role will also involve supporting new and existing engagement and youth engagement activities.

Project and Administration Manager – The Comedy Trust, closes 7 Apr

The Comedy Trust are looking for a highly organised, meticulous individual to join our small team. The candidate should be highly motivated and passionate about community outreach work and able to operate within set budgets to deliver high-quality projects.

Reporting to the Artistic Director, the Project & Administration Manager will be responsible for the successful planning and delivery of Comedy Trust community projects and overseeing admin support for the organisation.

The role will include seeing projects from beginning to end, ensuring all participants benefit from their involvement and that key projected outcomes of the project are met. They will manage all aspects of programmes from preparation to delivery and evaluation.

They will liaise and advise The Comedy Trust staff, workshop facilitators, volunteers and other personnel associated with the projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing administrative, marketing and participant support to ensure the successful delivery of their unique programmes.

Weekend Storyhunter – The Reader, closes 10 Apr

The Storybarn is a creative, interactive environment in which children can feel thoroughly alive and creative in the company of quality literature.

With Shared Reading at the heart of all that they do, they believe that books offer children a way to understand the world in which they live and the worlds inside themselves. The Reader exists to provide book-routes into this inner space, and to develop shared understandings of both it, and the outer world. Training will be provided with space for creative adaptation of delivery for applicants to really make the role their own.

Project Producer – Imagine Bamboo is Everywhere/Culture Liverpool, closes 14 Apr

Culture Liverpool seek to appoint an experienced Project Producer for Imagine Bamboo is Everywhere (IBIE), an ambitious outdoor participatory public art and performance project taking place in August and September 2023, with set up and creative development and production from May 2023.

The role is to produce, project manage, support and hold the relationships with artists, partners and stakeholders based in the LCR region; and to work closely with the Artistic Director to ensure the creative vision, approach and ethos is understood, enabled and realised to the highest quality and to realistic and agreed timeframes and budgets.

The Executive Producer is Liverpool City Region, working closely with Culture Liverpool, and the project builds on Imagine Bamboo 2022 and Bridge2Bamboo 2021, produced by Imagineer Productions and led by independent artistic director, Orit Azaz.

General Purpose

To support the Duty Manager in the smooth running of the BME and ensuring a quality experience for guests across the entire experience, including galleries, cafe, shop and Gibson Brands Interactive Studio. Duties will also include providing the appropriate support for BME events and for group visits.

This is a fixed term contract for a minimum of 24 hours per week. The fixed term runs from 1/5 – 3/9 2023.

Learning Programme Manager – National Museums Liverpool, closes 13 Apr

National Museums Liverpool currently have the post of Learning Programme Manager available.

This is a unique opportunity for someone with the passion, energy, and dedication to join our Learning & Participation team in a role that is critical to delivering accessible and representative learning programmes at the International Slavery Museum for children, young people, and adults as part of the wider Waterfront Transformation Project, generously supported by The National Lottery Heritage Fund with thanks to National Lottery players.

The role will be central to the development of activity for the proposed Centre for Teaching Black History, which will utilise collections and stories around legacies of transatlantic slavery and developing educational content to build a greater understanding of the African continent and its diaspora of peoples. This will be done through collaboration and coproduction with community and education stakeholders.

The post holder will help develop an outreach and digital activity plan to engage, children, young people, and adults as part of the redevelopment of the museum. This will be an exciting opportunity to test ideas for new inclusive programming, particularly with children and young people most affected by the legacies of transatlantic slavery.

The role will contribute to the delivery of NML’s 2030 vision to engage over ten million people each year and all schools in the Liverpool City Region will visit at least one of their museums and galleries each year.
