People and Governance Coordinator – Liverpool Royal Court, closes 26 Oct ’25

The role of People and Governance Coordinator is central to the internal operations of the Royal Court, providing high-quality coordination and administration that underpins how we support our staff, deliver effective governance, and maintain a positive workplace culture.

The postholder will oversee key HR procedures, systems and records (including recruitment and payroll support), coordinate trustee and board activity, and ensure clear and consistent internal communications across all teams.

Alongside this core administration, the role offers an opportunity to develop as a trusted People Partner for our Front of House and Catering teams, providing first-line guidance on people matters and gaining insight into the internal management of a leading cultural charity. Handling a high volume of correspondence, processes, and confidential information, the post requires strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and discretion

The successful candidate will:

  • Have proven experience in an administrative role within a busy office environment (not necessarily arts-specific)
  • Have practical experience in HR and/or recruitment, ideally supporting onboarding, payroll processes and employee lifecycle documentation.
  • Have excellent written and verbal communication, with attention to detail and the ability to tailor communications for different audiences.
  • Be able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines, balancing competing priorities

Project Assistant Curator (History & Archaeology) – National Museums Liverpool, closes 5 Nov ’25

As Project Assistant Curator (History & Archaeology), you will actively contribute to the ISM Curatorial Team and the ISM redevelopment.

Reporting directly to the Project Curator (History & Archaeology), you will undertake self-led research on the history, archaeology and legacies of transatlantic slavery. You will interpret collections for audiences, writing labels and object descriptions for new displays. You will also liaise with design contractors to help shape the content, look and feel of the redesigned museum.

As Project Assistant Curator, you will be actively involved in community-engagement activities. You will represent ISM at public events and respond to relevant requests for information from scholars, media organisations and members of the public. You will also use collections management software and play a hands-on role in acquisition and loan procedures.

Throughout all aspects of your work, the Project Assistant Curator should demonstrate knowledge of, and respect for, sensitivities associated with the history and legacies of racial slavery. You will be expected to work in a reflective manner and show care for collections and the people you work and interact with.

Learning Facilitator – National Museums Liverpool, closes 5 Nov ’25

Reporting to a Learning Producer, you will help deliver the new On Tour school workshops for the International Slavery Museum and Maritime Museum while both venues are closed for redevelopment. Alongside this, you will lead activities for the National Centre for Teaching Black History, ensuring its work reaches and inspires learners.

You will deliver a compelling and inclusive year-round programme of events and activities that engages, inspires and delights primary school children and young people, their teachers/educators, home educators and post-16 learners.

Assistant, Music – Arts Council England (North West hybrid working), closes 10 Oct ’25

You will be providing administrative support to the Director, Music and Senior Manager(s), Music/Music Industry as well as other members of the wider national Music team.

Main day to day responsibilities

You will be providing administrative assistance to the Director, Music and Senior Manager(s), Music/Music Industry, servicing and event-managing internal and external business meetings (including meetings of the Music Growth Package Advisory Group) and co-ordinating administrative processes: collating and distributing agendas and papers, note-taking and following-up on actions, and providing support for cross-team working groups and other committees, as required.

You will provide personal assistance to the Director, Music, promoting optimal use of time by coordinating meetings and making travel arrangements and ensuring that the Director is well briefed in advance.

You will be undertaking research, gathering and disseminating information, and running administrative support systems for the team: including workload planning, supporting data collection and data reporting to inform decision making processes, and record filing and archiving in line with our policies.

You will be providing support to the team’s administrative procedures: responding to queries from applicants on music programmes, raising purchase orders and contracts, reviewing information on our finance and other relevant systems and processing payments as requested, as well as team communications and stakeholder management.

You will support the team’s role in assessment and grant management, liaising with the Senior Manager, Music Industry and the Investment Centre and facilitating decision meetings.

You will be the first point of contact for the national Music team, responding to queries and liaising with internal and external stakeholders, including setting up and coordinating on-line (and occasionally in person) meetings of our external Advisory Group.

You will combine your ability to plan and prioritise with a flexibility and curiosity to work beyond this area of work, on occasion contributing to areas outside of your daily responsibilities.

Senior Manager, Music – Arts Council England (North West hybrid working), closes 17 Oct ’25

You will be working with the Director, Music to develop policy, and support and manage relationships with key stakeholders both internally and externally. You will undertake key planning, fund development and relationship manager co-ordination roles nationally.  These roles will address objectives within the appropriate artform plan and the Arts Council plan.

Main day to day responsibilities

You will liaise with Director, Music and National Music Team Assistant to plan and coordinate National Music Team meetings, compile agendas, prepare papers and presentations and ensure any developed actions arising are carried out.

You will retain an overview of working groups across the National Music Team, coordinate sub-genre and other relevant meetings and collate information as required as well as disseminate key information to the National Music Team.

You will liaise with investment Centre colleagues to collate and analyse data across funding programmes nationally (e.g. DYCP, Elevate, NLPG).

You will be liaising with the data team to ensure the data library and reports are up to date and correct including Quarterly investment reports.

You will support the Director, Music in the delivery of national objectives for music and keeping corporate plan up to date and ensure the equality objectives align with development of national music projects and plans.

You will support Director, Music in commenting on applications made through relevant funding schemes and programmes to ensure a consistent approach, contributing expertise and knowledge as appropriate.

You will support specific initiatives responding to music-related equality and inclusion agendas in the UK and aligning any arising plans to the national diversity agenda.

You will support the delivery of ongoing funding programmes including, as required, fulfilling the role of relationship manager for one or more Investment Programme Support Organisations in Music.

You will liaise with other artform and discipline Senior Managers to ensure music is represented in discussions and aligned to national initiatives and policies.

You will bring your expertise in music to national discussions and advice-giving framework to ensure there is national consistency.

You will support intelligence gathering, respond to questions and input as required into national policy team.

You will act as an advocate for the Arts Council, acting as a deputy to the Director, Music where appropriate.

You will combine specialist knowledge and expertise with a flexibility and curiosity to work beyond that specialism, drawing on the expertise of colleagues as needed and contributing to areas outside of specialism to support the execution of the ACE 2021-24 delivery plan.

Finally, you will actively contribute to and champion the organisation’s commitment to diversity and its implications for the arts and culture, promoting a diversity perspective in all aspects of your responsibilities.

Deep knowledge of vinyl records, including grading, pricing and market availability

Valid UK driving license and access to own vehicle
Broad music knowledge across multiple genres
Beneficial but not required:

Proven experience buying and selling records
Experience with Shopify or similar e-commerce platforms
Physical retail environment experience
Responsibilities:

Work with their team to source and acquire quality vinyl records for resale
Assess collections and make purchasing decisions
Accurately grade, price and list inventory
Assist with stock levels and inventory systems
