Reporting to the Customer Services Team Leader, the post holder will play a full and active role in the day-to-day management of customer and member enquiries across all communications channels, the development of new business from those enquiries, and the effective capture and management of data related to all customer interactions. The Customer Services team also plays a central role in ensuring the museum remains customer oriented and enhancing the customer experience across all activities.

This role includes generating income through processing school and group bookings, new memberships, tickets, and private image, film and licensing sales.

Annual leave requests may be restricted at certain times of the year. There will be a requirement to work rostered weekends and bank holidays as required.

Travel to the five IWM museums on work related matters may also be required.

Queer Up North Project Manager – Manchester Histories, closes 21 Oct ’24

Established in 1992 by Tanja Farman and Gavin Barlow as part of the Manchester Festival, QUN quickly became a beacon for queer culture, drawing artists and audiences from across the globe.

Lead Artist – Family Arts Club programme, closes 9 Oct ’24

The artist will work together with their partner agencies, volunteers(s) and Library staff to create a Family Art Club programme that will be attractive to refugee families taking part, will be suitable for a library space and will provide a safe and inclusive place where families can play creatively together.

The artist will be supported by worker from an agency currently supporting refugee families in the area and will be required to attend Trauma Informed Practice training before sessions start.

They are looking for an artist or artist collective who:

Can deliver fun, playful arts sessions that will engage a whole family

Has an awareness of how the sessions could support ESOL learning

Can create a programme of activity with an awareness of issues that can affect refugee families. Has experience of working in situations where confidentiality and sensitivity may be required and have some awareness of safeguarding principles.

Can engage with the library staff to make the sessions relevant to the library’s aims.

They are particularly interested in hearing from artists who may themselves have lived experience of the asylum system or are international artists.

Economic and Social Impact Assessor – Liverpool Royal Court, closes 21 Oct ’24

The last twenty years has seen Liverpool’s Royal Court grow in size and reputation regionally and nationally. To mark the Royal Court’s 20th anniversary, they are commissioning an economic and social impact assessment of their organisation and the many community activities it supports.

The report will demonstrate the economic and social opportunities across Liverpool, the wider City Region and the rest of the UK. The report will also place a value on the social contribution made by the Royal Court by demonstrating increases in the wellbeing of participants across various programmes.

They expect the report authors to consult with a wide range of stakeholders, trustees, young people and community groups, politicians and funding partners to ensure as many stories and views are captured as possible.

They would like the report to be concluded by end of December 2024.

Buxton Opera House is seeking a Technical DSM to be on the book during rehearsals and then to set up and operate the schools tour and Arts Centre Shows. They must be able to drive a van.

Casual Event Coordinator – The Lowry, closes 21 Oct ’24

Quays Culture is a cultural programme generated through a consortium of partners who are leading the way in the fields of digital media, broadcasting, education, business, sport, arts, culture and heritage.

The aim of the programme is to enrich the location of The Quays, making it a visitor destination through a programme of arts and cultural events. Partners include BBC North, The Lowry, IWMN, Salford University, Peel/MediaCityUK, Salford City Council, Trafford Borough Council,- (http://www.quaysculture.com/ – www.quaysculture.com).

They are looking for Casual Event Coordinators to work on a winter artwork installation; Lightwaves Salford 2024, running from 5-8 December 2024. As a Casual Event Coordinator you will supervise, support and enhance the public experience, operational delivery, and effectiveness of the winter artwork installation of the Quays Culture programme.

There is potential for shifts to also be made available during the build that will involve moving signage and resources around the site from 30th November – 4th December as well as the de-rig from 9th-12th December 2024.

The role will require you to act as an ambassador for Quays Culture. You will be required to communicate well with the general public, handle queries and provide information and customer service in a welcoming manner, supervise the event and ensure the safety of the public.

The successful candidate will have previous event coordination experience, good communication skills, experience of providing customer service of a positive and welcoming nature and a positive and adaptable approach to problem solving.

Please note that MediaCityUK is a well-connected destination with a variety of different transport options – bus, car, tram and bike.

This role is currently being worked both onsite and remotely.
