LGBTQ+ Youth Theatre Facilitator – Green Carnation Company, closes 21 Aug ’24

Green Carnation Company are looking for a self-motivated, creative and enthusiastic Youth Theatre facilitator to deliver an LGBTQ+ youth theatre project in partnership with Imaginarium Theatre in Autumn 2024.

The facilitator will work with Imaginarium Theatre’s intermediate group to devise a performance response to a new play, Clothes Swap, written by Liam Mansfield for LGBTQ+ young people. They will be responsible for leading the project and supporting the young people to create a high-quality devised performance that reflects themes of the importance of LGBTQ+ / Queer spaces for young people, the power of listening, and the importance of speaking up.

Conservator – National Trust (Liverpool and Cheshire), closes 14 Aug ’24

The team are looking for a Conservator to join them in Cheshire and Liverpool to provide support and expertise in all aspects of remedial and preventive conservation of collections and interiors.

You’ll apply appropriate technical and consultancy skills to enable properties, that will include Dunham Massey, Little Moreton Hall, Lyme, Quarry Bank and Speke Hall, to achieve sustainable standards of conservation, whilst supporting a range of projects.

Hours: Part time 22.5 hours per week Monday to Friday – we are flexible as to when you work these hours

Salary: FTE £44,499pa Actual £26,699pa

Contract: Fixed term for 12 months

What it’s like to work there

You’ll be part of the National Trust’s internal consultancy: a flexible resource of specialist skills and expertise. As one of a multidisciplinary team of experts, including curators, fundraisers, building surveyors and project managers, you’ll be working with others to help make things happen.

Your contractual place of work will be the National Trust office at Altrincham. Their hybrid working policy means you can balance office and home working with site visits and meetings at other National Trust places. They’ll talk about this in more detail at interview, but you should expect to be at a National Trust site for 40-60% of your working week.

Freelance Digital Tech-Lab Facilitator – FutureEverything, closes 28 Aug ’24

The team are looking for artists and creative technologists, with experience in Tech-Lab facilitation, to prepare and deliver a digital skills Tech-Lab which will be toured over a number of weeks across four locations in the North.

The PROTO_Tech-Labs are one strand of the PROTO creative development programme, and have been designed to give participants an insight into the world of digital making. The Tech-Labs are in-person, guided workshops led by Tech-Lab facilitators, where participants will get an opportunity to experiment with digital art tools, programmes and technologies.

PROTO is FutureEverything’s groundbreaking creative development programme designed to nurture and encourage the growth of artists looking to enhance their digital creativity through skill development, digital learning and networking.

PROTO_Tech-Lab themes and requirements

Develop digital skills – Tech-Labs will explore specific digital skills or techniques in either creating art or sustaining a career in the arts.

Sustainable methodologies – FutureEverything recently announced its intention to appoint Nature to its Board and as such, we’re keen to explore and share sustainable digital practices. These themes will be embedded into the Tech-Lab session, whether it’s the programmes/tools used during the session or part of the Tech-Lab conversation.

Public access learning resources – The Tech-Lab programmes and tools must be open source and freely available to PROTO participants, should they wish to continue to explore these materials outside of the Tech-Lab. We’re open to hearing your suggestions.

The fee for Tech-Lab planning and delivery is £400 per Tech-Lab, a total of £1,600 for delivery across the four regions. There are additional resources to support the facilitation of the Tech-Lab, if required.

You will set the forward strategy for the charity, understanding the challenges of the current economic climate and working to develop income streams that will enable the delivery of the charitable objectives and funding requirements. Marketing & Development Officer – Lake District Music, closes 23 Sep ’24

This is a key role at the centre of LDM, working directly with the Operations Director to plan and implement a wide range of creative campaigns to drive ticket sales, develop audiences, support young musicians and raise brand awareness.

Choral Administrator – Halle Concerts Society, closes 2 Sep ’24

This role requires an efficient, approachable and diplomatic personality able to work effectively with people from many different walks of life. You will work in collaboration with the Choral Director, Academy Director, Choir Committee, Ensembles artistic and administrative teams and with all Halle departments.

The Ensembles Team sits within the Halle Connect Team. This team covers all of the Halle’s work away from the formal concert platform, working across the whole community from schools to care homes, nurturing young talent and bringing music in its broadest terms to those who may not attend the concert hall.

The post is part-time (40%) permanent based on a 36.25 hour full-time week. Core office hours are 09.00-17:15, from Mon to Fri but the post will require a degree of flexibility to working unusual hours to facilitate activities, including weekly rehearsals on Wednesday evenings and some evening / weekend work. There is an option to work up to 50% of hours from home.
