This role is key to the operational success of The Reader’s Calderstones site, ensuring our ethos, values and vision are at the forefront of all they do at Calderstones.

This is a diverse, fast-paced role that is responsible for leading the team to deliver the safe operational running of all activities on site, including presentation standards, visitor flow, visitor assistance, access and health and safety. Leading from the front, this role is vital in cross-organisational working for activity ran by The Reader.

Job Requirements

  • Coordinate a 7 day working site rota
  • Ensure smooth operational running of all activities, responding to issues, leading shifts in our front of house environment and maintaining a safe and welcoming site
  • Take initiative to solve problems with the ability to resolve issues with creative solutions
  • A strong awareness of health and safety procedures
  • Be a point of reference and provide operational guidance across the organisation for responsibilities held by the Site Operations Team
  • This post will be a key holder for the entire Calderstones Site and have responsibility for opening and closing the site
  • Direct line management and development of Operations Coordinator and Operations Assistants, ensuring clear lines of responsibilities and directing their workload
  • Lead on the organisation’s Environmental Strategy
  • Monthly or quarterly site reports to be reported for members of Directors Group and the Board

Orchestra Stage & Transport Manager – Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Society, closes 6 Sep ’24

Event Manager – Royal Liverpool Philharmonic, closes 10 Sep ’24

As the largest music organisation in the city, hosting incredible events is central to Liverpool Philharmonic’s work. They’re currently looking for an Event Manager who’ll make sure that events run to the highest possible standard and that customers always have a safe and enjoyable time.

You’ll work across their entire event and activities programme, alongside visiting artists and promoters, and with their own musicians, ensembles and departments, to ensure events run smoothly. You’ll also deal with customer queries and resolve any incidents, and line manage a stewarding team. Key Information

  • Salary: £30,388 per annum
  • Employment type: Full time / permanent
  • Hours of work: 42.5 hours per week, including break agreement. These hours are annualised over a rolling 17-week period and will be allocated on a rota. The postholder will be required to work regular evenings and weekends according to business need. Shifts will regularly start or end during hours where public transport is not in operation. Shifts vary and there is not a set weekly pattern. It is essential that the postholder can commute to and from work for such shifts without a reliance on public transport.

Smolensky Gallery is an independent, commercial gallery based in the heart of Manchester.
