Marketing and Communications Manager – Global Grooves, closes 14 Jul ’24

Global Grooves is entering an exciting period of development as they devise, create and re-imagine a selection of new outdoor arts productions and performances to tour to festivals, carnivals, public and private events throughout the UK.

This work will support and underpin the financial modelling as they continue to develop their Carnival centre of excellence for the North of England and the sustainability of Global Grooves moving forwards.

Job title: Marketing and Communications Manager.

Salary : £30,000 Pro rata. 4 days per week (30hrs).

Responsible to: Global Grooves SMT.

Line management: Managing the part-time social media coordinator, PR freelancer and Graphic Design Freelancers, volunteers and/or interns.

Contract: Minimum 12 month fixed term contract, 4 days per week. Extension possible for contract term and days per week negotiable.

Location: The Vale, Unit 2 Vale Mill, Micklehurst Road, Mossley, OL5 9JL.

Hours: General office hours are 10.00 – 18.00.

Flexibility: They would consider amending this post to suit flexible working hours. We would consider a full time post for the right candidate. Job shares also considered for complementary skills and expertise.

Production Manager / Technical Stage Manager – Ordinary Glory, closes 18 Jun ’24

This is a dual role on a fixed term contract.

Greater Manchester-based Ordinary Glory are looking for an exceptional individual to take on the responsibilities of a Production Manager (part-time) and Technical Stage Manager (full-time for rehearsals and tour) for the tour of Joy Unspeakable. This is a great opportunity for Stage Managers who are looking to broaden their experience and skills into Production Management.

They are looking for someone to start in the PM role from 15th July (part-time), before joining rehearsals full-time from 12th August in a TSM role.

The tour opens on Wednesday 4th September and ends on Saturday 5th October.

The pay will be a total of £6000.

They anticipate that there will be 8 paid days (£200 per day) fulfilling Production Management responsibilities, alongside the Producer; 4 weeks in attendance at rehearsals (£550 per week); and 4 weeks on tour with the company (£550 per week).

The rate of pay is negotiable dependent on experience.

Lead Artist Facilitator (The Agency) – Storyhouse, closes 30 Jun ’24

As the Lead Artist Facilitator, you will work with a group of young people (The Agents) to realise their successfully pitched projects from September 2024 – May 2025. You will help to identify networks for The Agents to connect with and set up meetings where appropriate. You will plan, deliver, and evaluate 12 weekly Agency sessions with up to 20 people aged 15-25 in-line with the Agency methodology.

They are looking for someone who is enthusiastic about delivering a variety of exciting Arts and cultural activities for young people, with an understanding and vision of how Arts activities can provide positive benefits for young people with different needs and abilities. You should be willing to represent The Agency and speak at events regionally, nationally, and internationally, with availability to work some evenings and weekends.

This is a freelance, part time contract running from September 2024-May 2025. Candidates must be available for training on 14th-16th August in Manchester. Working days are Saturday daytime in Lache and Wednesday to include the evening at Storyhouse.

Ensembles Manager – Halle Concerts Society, closes 24 Jun ’24

The Ensembles Manager manages the administrative team responsible for each of their ensembles, namely the Halle Choir Manager and Youth Ensembles Administrator.

They work closely with the other members of the Administration, Orchestra and freelance artistic personnel including the Choral Director, Assistant Conductor, and Directors of all Halle Choirs.

Halle Connect covers all of the Halle’s work away from the formal concert platform, working across the whole community from schools to care homes, nurturing young talent and bringing music in its broadest terms to those who may not attend the concert hall. Halle musicians work in various settings across Greater Manchester and beyond, releasing creativity and raising aspirations through very accessible and practical projects.

The Ensembles Manager is a member of the Operational Management Team and may deputise for the Head of Halle Connect when required.

Freelance Painting Assistant – Artist Studio, closes 20 June ’24

The team are looking for a Painting Assistant to work on a new body of large paintings on canvas for an institutional exhibition in the Netherlands.

The Painting Assistant must have a strong command of realistic figurative painting in both oil and acrylic paint. Their main responsibility will be to copy photographic and collaged imagery like for like.

The Painting Assistant will take direction from the Artist and her Studio Manager.

The role is temporary and as such, would be ideal for a student, artist or freelance creative.
