As part of the team, you will provide administrative, marketing and project support, helping to produce and promote creative events, commissions and happenings taking place in Sefton, the wider city region and UK.

You will have the chance to develop transferrable skills in arts administration and marketing as part of a small friendly team, meeting lots of different people, from artists and librarians to community members, along the way.

The role of Training Coordinator is integral to the work of our Children & Young People’s team as a whole. Our work takes us to a variety of community settings and the ability to train our volunteers in the practise of Shared Reading is vital to the ongoing development and nurture of The Reader’s partnership engagement. This exciting role requires creativity and flexibility to meet the needs of partner organisations and volunteers alongside the ability to support new training development.

The post holder must;
– Be comfortable dealing with a large number of partners at any one time; prioritising and quickly moving between partners who may have different needs. You will be confident and comfortable spinning lots of plates at any one time and ensuring quality in every interaction.
– Be able to work collaboratively with the Children and Young Persons team and the wider Training and Quality team to devise and deliver a high quality training offer for partner staff, schools and our own Reader staff, offering constructive feedback and an active commitment to the continuous improvement of our training offer
– Be able to work well with the whole Children and Young Persons team, offering problem solving solutions and contributing to wider strategic development as we grow our work with Children and families.

Technician – LEGOLAND Discovery Centre, closes 16 Sept

LEGOLAND are on the lookout for a Maintenance Technician at LEGOLAND Discovery Centre Manchester to join a small multi-skilled team and be responsible for the day to day maintenance of show equipment, rides, theming, and the facility.

Reporting to the Technical Manager and working in a small team, you’ll be responsible for the maintenance of equipment, theming, rides, and the facility, to include carrying out electrical and mechanical inspection and maintenance activities and provide support to the daily operation of the attraction.

This naturally means you’ll be dealing with both routine maintenance and breakdowns and therefore you will work swiftly and with care to diagnose and rectify problems. Utilising your hands-on knowledge and experience you will sustain minimal downtime of rides and themed attractions for the maximum guest experience.

This is a permanent full-time role and includes working a regular, fair share of weekends and bank holidays as required.

Ideally, you’ll be educated to A level or HNC/HND/BA in a relevant area (Electrical, Mechanical, Facility Maintenance, Technical Theatre, Film, Model Making, Prop Making) or similar, coupled with some experience maintaining a range of equipment.

Knowledge of Health and Safety, risk assessments, Planned Preventative Maintenance systems of work and LOLER/PUWER would also be desirable.
