You will help them to reach a new level of creativity by encouraging effective collaboration, pushing the boundaries of design and production build, and ensuring they’re utilising agile and up-to-date methodologies, technologies and software to enhance all of our studio output.

This role would suit someone from a set design / build background from possibly theatre, television, film, museums or large-scale festivals and events. Event Manager – Royal Liverpool Philharmonic, closes 10 Sep ’24

As the largest music organisation in the city, hosting incredible events is central to Liverpool Philharmonic’s work. They’re currently looking for an Event Manager who’ll make sure that events run to the highest possible standard and that customers always have a safe and enjoyable time.

You’ll work across their entire event and activities programme, alongside visiting artists and promoters, and with their own musicians, ensembles and departments, to ensure events run smoothly. You’ll also deal with customer queries and resolve any incidents, and line manage a stewarding team. Key Information

  • Salary: £30,388 per annum
  • Employment type: Full time / permanent
  • Hours of work: 42.5 hours per week, including break agreement. These hours are annualised over a rolling 17-week period and will be allocated on a rota. The postholder will be required to work regular evenings and weekends according to business need. Shifts will regularly start or end during hours where public transport is not in operation. Shifts vary and there is not a set weekly pattern. It is essential that the postholder can commute to and from work for such shifts without a reliance on public transport.

Casual Learning Facilitator – National Justice Museum (North), closes 25 Aug ’24

The north team is currently expanding its programmes and is now looking for a Casual Learning Facilitator who can deliver outstanding and inspirational learning sessions to school audiences as part of our formal learning programme.

They are looking for someone who has the skills to be able to deliver to a wide range of ages and stages. one session you might be exploring how the law could be applied to Goldilocks and the next you might be delivering a murder trial to a group of GCSE students.

Experience of working in museums it is not essential but ideally you will have experience of teaching or delivering workshops. Most important will be your ability to communicate sometime complex information effectively to a wide range of learners.

On-going training will be provided which will include initial shadowing and supported delivery before you lead activities independently. As your skills grow, you will be offered opportunities to deliver other parts of their learning programme, which might include ‘On Tour’, our programme delivering special event weeks in working courtrooms across the north which is supported by judges, or costumed delivery in outreach programmes. Should you be required to travel beyond the Manchester area to deliver sessions, travel and subsistence costs will be paid.

Christmas Duty Manager – National Trust (North West), closes 25 Aug ’24

The National Trust have an exciting opportunity for 2 Duty Managers to support and deliver the lights extravaganza Christmas event alongside their commercial partners.

Hours: Part time hours, working days and hours will vary during the pre-event and event periods and weekends are included. During the event it is likely that you will work up to 4 shifts of up to 8.5 hours each per week, and you’ll be required to work a proportion of the 39 event dates as one of the two National Trust Duty Managers.

As Duty Manager you’ll work closely with the property team, production company, promoter, contractors and suppliers to ensure that this year’s event builds on previous successes.

You’ll be responsible for the day-to-day venue operational management of the event with colleagues and event partners, you will ensure that Dunham’s buildings and landscape receive the appropriate protection, and maximise opportunities to communicate the Trust’s core purpose tens of thousands of visitors. You’ll have operational line management responsibility for our staff on event nights, and local responsibility for the consistent delivery of a great visitor experience for visitors.
