Live Co-Ordinator – Gag Reflex LTD, closes 20 Dec

Gag Reflex is dedicated to developing the best comic and variety talent in the industry. They also produce live tours, festivals and residencies both nationally and internationally. They are one of the leading comedy and variety promoters at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, producing 15 shows this year, including and the best-selling show of the entire fringe.

The Live Co-ordinator role would suit a person who is organised, has an eye for detail and is able to multitask effectively. This role would suit someone who has worked previously in a theatre production team or talent agency but it is not essential.

Most importantly, you must have a positive attitude, a love for arts and comedy, and a willingness to grow within their ambitious and close knit team.

The role requires flexibility as each day differs from the next. Some weekend or after hours work work will be required.

Please note, during the August Edinburgh Fringe Festival you will be required to relocate to Edinburgh with the rest of the GAG Reflex team in order to act as a Producer / Promoter across the month.

Hours – 40 hours per week (flexible working with key hours being 10:00 – 16:00)

Young Programmes Coordinator – Royal Northern College of Music, closes 4 Dec

The Royal Northern College of Music (RNCM) invites applications for the position of Young Programmes Coordinator within the Junior Programmes Department.

This role is pivotal to the coordination and management of the RNCM Young Programmes, which include innovative initiatives like Pathfinder: which enables talented young musicians aged 8 -18 to overcome financial, social and cultural barriers to progressing their musical talent, Young Projects: a selection of free, open access workshops for rare-breed instruments and Young Artists: our Saturday Junior Pop programme, supported by the Sony Social Justice Foundation.

The successful candidate will coordinate all aspects of these programmes, ensuring effective processes and consistent delivery across various activities. Responsibilities include ensuring relevant DBS checks are up to date, processing payments and data collection and registration, collaborating with departments like Human Resources and Development, coordinating events, maintaining budgets, and ensuring adherence to safeguarding policies.

As a first point of contact for staff, parents, and students, the Coordinator will play a crucial role in maintaining communication and ensuring the smooth operation of the programmes. Candidates should have experience in administrative management, coordination of multiple projects, and working with young people.

The job

  • This position is a 2 year fixed term contract working 25 hours per week (mostly weekday daytime, as well as some evenings and weekends and additional hours during the Summer School itself).
  • In your role as Administrator you will work across the full span of Chetham’s and The Stoller Hall, providing a breadth of flexible and creative support to ensure the successful delivery of the residential Summer School and The Stoller Hall’s renowned events programme.
